Blue Flag 
The Blue Flag is a label with a strong connotation of tourist symbol of environmental quality copy.
Created by the French Office for the Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe in 1985, the Blue Flag award and values each year municipalities and marinas, which lead to a permanent policy and research of sustainable application for a quality environment.

This eco-label helps to educate and motivate local managers or marina so that they take into account the standard "environment" in their policy of economic development and tourism, complementing and strengthening national guidelines and / or European mandatory.
Guarantor of good environmental quality, the blue flag hoisted on a joint or a marina, a positive image among residents momentum as visitors. In this sense, it also promotes a general awareness to conduct more respectful of nature and its riches. However, several studies (House of France, AFIT), shows an excellent quality of the environment becomes an added value in choosing vacation destinations. The Blue Flag has become a reference in the fields of tourism, environment and sustainable development. Its success is such that it is now present throughout the French territory, and the EEF is working now to extend the label to the world with the United Nations for the Environment and the World Tourism Organization. The Blue Flag is currently present in 39 countries worldwide.
